I hope you all have had a fantastic week! It’s been a busy week here…really it has been an insanely busy month as it is for everyone, I’m sure. Getting down to the wire and I’m still not quite done with my Christmas shopping. Ugh.
Remember last weeks post with the green capped sleeve top from Express? Well I took a visit to my local Express and found this same style top in a Tartan (plaid) pattern that I had to have. It brought me back to my childhood, although there was most definitely ruffles and lace on that childhood dress. Oh being a child of the late 70’s early 80’s was such a fashionable time. I’d been dying to own a pair of faux leather pants but figured they would be too hot for the Hawaiian heat however, these were surprisingly cool and they were seriously as comfortable as a pair of sweat pants. I’m going back for a second pair for sure.

This weeks Fashion Informant is the lovely and oh so, fashionable lady from Life Unrefined. Above Jen’s fabulous fashion choices and keen sense of style what I really loved was reading her “about me” page and the reason why she started Life Unrefined. I think its a great message for all women to read, because I know a lot of us have been in that awkward stage where hurtful words have stuck throughout a lifetime. I know I’ve been there… I personally spent years of my life with my head down and carrying a low self-esteem…its not attractive. An outfit may not fix those hurts and it certainly won’t define who you are but it can make you stand a little taller and feel more confident about yourself.
Um, now let’s talk about the outfit…it is fabulous! The graphic t, the blush pants and that fantastic jacket finishes the look to perfection.
Thank you Jen for sharing your style and inspiring story about yourself.
