Old Navy Sweet Deals

Women’s Vintage Style Gray V-Neck Tee//The Rockstar Mid-rise super skinny//Women’s Brown Animal Canvas Slipon Shoes

The one thing I can always count on by shopping at Old Navy are some of the seriously sweet deals. Above are all of those classic wardrobe staples that really never go out of style (well maybe those animal print canvas shoes have a limited time in the wardrobe). Check out these three items and would you take a look at the prices! That’s what I’m lovin’.

  • Old Navy’s Rockstar jeans are the epitome of comfort at a reasonable price in my opinion which is not always the case for Skinnies.  On sale now for 14.99 and an additional 30% off at checkout bringing the price to  $10.49.
  • It’s all about leopard print and canvas shoes these days. These brown animal print slipons are on sale for an additional 30% off bringing the price to just $17.46.

What are some of your favorite wardrobe staples?

Save or Splurge: Backpack

Save or Splurge

The backpack trend is hot right now and you don’t have to be in school to carry one. Like anything else they come in a wide range of prices you just have to decide what it’s worth to you. Is it a trend that will be around for awhile? Or maybe just a couple season? Unpredictable as most trends are I’ve found a few comparisons for you to decide whether it’s worth the investment or just another fleeting trend.

  • Save on Jigsaw at $175 (which honestly is still quit the investment) or  splurge on Robe d Firenze at $360.
  • Sole Society is one of my favorite stores for shoes and bags at reasonable prices. I actually prefer the save to the splurge on this one, Alexander McQueen or not. $45 vs. $2,095.
  • Save on Forever 21 New Penny backpack at $50 or splurge on Balenciaga Zip Traveler extra small backpack at $1,685. “extra-small” at $1,685. I’ll go with the save.

Are you loving that the backpack is back!? What would you do, save or splurge?

Save or Splurge: The Wrap Dress

The Wrap Dress: Save or Splurge

I’ve recently become obsessed with wrap dresses in particular the iconic Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress. This is a style that is very flattering for many figures making it one of those wardrobe staple must-haves. Not only are they flattering they are also very versatile. This is a dress that can easily be taken from day to night by wearing it with your favorite flats and dressing it up with a great pair of pumps for the evening. You don’t even have to go heavy on the accessories to make a statement the dress alone has just enough eye catching detail.

Although, I’d love a DVF in every pattern and color that isn’t really an option so I set out to find a more budget friendly brand and came across this factory print wrap dress at Banana Republic. It also comes in “Cool Combo” which is very reminiscent of a DVF pattern at a fraction of the price under $90.

Here are a few details on the save vs. splurge in creating two similar looks with the wrap dress.

  • Jessica Adeni Signature black pump at $62 or splurge on a pair of DVF for $325.
  • A fabulous duo tone clutch in red at $63 or Yves Saint Laurent leather purse for a price of $1,450
  • Brooks Brothers hoops under $50 or Hoops at Macy’s $800 on sale right now for under $250.
  • Kamali Kulture Square Cat eyes for $98 or Celine Audry sunglasses for $450.

Bottom line, you can get the entire save outift for the price of the DVF dress.  What would you do, save or splurge on this look?
