Save or Splurge: Floral and Polka Dot Pumps

Pattern Pumps: Save or Splurge
  • Floral pumps are blooming everywhere my friends! Before my trip to NYC, I made sure to grab a pair of these Ted Baker’s for myself and I love, love, love them! Or you could splurge on a pair of Givenchy floral pumps for $496.
  • Polka dots are never a bad idea! Save on a pair of Izaac Mizrahi pointed toe pumps for $145 or splurge on Sophia Webster for J.Crew pumps for $520…ouch!

What would you do? Save or splurge?

Save or Splurge: Summer Beach Bag

Summer Beach Bag Save or Splurge

It’s that time of year for beach days and pool parties! You know how I love a great bag but honestly, if it is going to the beach with me, I’ll be sticking on the save side this week.  Because let’s be honest, nothing comes home pretty after a day at the beach. Am I right, or am I right? Here are a few bags I found.

  • Save on a Lulu Guinness canvas ring tote for $30 available at JCP OR the Kate Spade Via Limoni Tourist tote for $243.
  • The Sun N Sand Tuscan natural straw tote could be yours for less than $45 or splurge on Kate Spade’s Via Limoni Aria bag for roughly $245
  • A stripe tote screams it’s beach day! Save on Echo design stripe beach tote for under $60 or splurge on a Tory Burch Tyler straw tote for $175.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Tory Burch and Kate Spade  bags and I feel that they are both great investment pieces but this time around I will stick with the “save” options. Which would you choose?

Save or Splurge: High Heel Sandals

High Heel Sandals

Who doesn’t need a fabulous pair of sandals to go with all of those fabulous summer dresses?? Or shorts for that matter! You can find me on either side of save or splurge when it comes to shoes and bags. I do believe a great quality shoe can walk you many miles but there are also those fun shoes that are on the affordable side that work just as well at making a statement. If I’m going to be on the splurge side I always go for something that will withstand the test of time, like neutrals and black…they never go out of style. As for the floral and leopard pattern shoes I’m a bit more cautious and tend to stick with the save side since there is a great chance that trend may not be sticking around for the long haul.

These are a few pairs of high heel sandals that I found today.

  • You can always count on Steve Madden to bring home a fashionable and trendy shoe at a decent price. These neutral two strap heels come with a price tag of around $80. OR spend more on a pair of Barney’s New York Criss Cross ankle sandals at a price of $450. They are cute…but….are they really $450 cute? The choice is yours. Personally if they were closer to a two strap heel I’d be more inclined (I mean if I had endless amounts of cash lying around…which I don’t) to spend that kind of money because they would be a little more versatile and not quite so trendy.
  • Again, Steve Maddens at $80 OR Gianvito Rossi for anywhere from $700-900 range. Yikes. Going to go with the save on this one.
  • Girls! Steve Madden just never fails to deliver. These floral beauties have a sale price of about $60 OR Ivanka Trump for about $120. Which isn’t a huge difference but you could probably grab the Steve Madden sandals and a great pair of flip flops for the price of Ivanka Trump’s floral shoe.
