Forty and Fabulous

Here are a few pictures from one of my best friends 40 and Fabulous Birthday celebration.  I wanted to somehow contribute to her BIG 4-0 bash since I couldn’t be there in person.Coco Chanel came to mind when thinking of a theme for her.  Her sister had just taken her on a trip to Paris before her birthday and since she is a strong, no-nonsense kind of girl with her quick wit and fabulous advice, not to mention a pretty fashionable 40 year old mom. There was no other theme that would fit better in my opinion.  Because a girl should be two things: Classy and fabulous and she is both.

I do believe the frames made with the Chanel quotes disappeared…hmf…I wonder where they could have gone..bday girls husband?!  But whatever, she had a great time with her family and friends so that’s all that matters. Her husband outdid himself.

Whimzy Creations came through for me once again with this great banner.  It was temporarily “misplaced” before the party but they found it just in time.  Whew!  Husbands (and it wasn’t mine this time).
The cupcake toppers and banner in these photos are from Maddie Claire.
I ordered I believe about two dozen balloons and left the task for my friends husband to pick them up. I was really hoping he’d take the Prius, would have been so hysterical for our love/hate relationship.  Shh…I almost didn’t tell him for that very reason.
Her husband purchased a box of several bottles of wine that she loves for the party, so naturally I had to make sure she had the proper glass to drink from on her Fab 40 day.  That’s what friends are for ;-)
The glass is from Waterfall Designs Etsy store.

Last but certainly not least, these adorable cookies by Sweeties By Kim.  Absolutely gorgeous.  Unfortunately no one got a photo of them before they were gone.

Pedestal Cake Stands

I’ve been searching for the perfect pedestal cake stand.  Preferably the mint green color…where, oh where can I find one? These were all found at Layla Grayce  I can imagine using a couple milk glass vases with the white pedestal stand….very cute.

Ice Cream Birthday Party!

Here are some pictures of a friends Ice Cream Birthday Party. I was lucky enough to tag along for the shopping and preparation so I thought I’d share some of the great finds.Birthday banner available at my Etsy store.

The party was outdoors so these buckets found at Target worked great.

Most of the serving pieces were found at Ross and Pier 1 Imports the colors were perfect. https://www.pier1.com/catalog/browse/0800.special-values/tabid/525/CategoryID/165/List/0/catpagesize/0/Level/a/ProductID/8287/ProductName/Eat-More-Cake-Plastic-Tablecloth/Default.aspx
