The question is? Save or splurge? I love a good quality shoe but more often than not you can save a little extra money and find a relatively inexpensive version at Target or Old Navy. Especially with trends changing as fast as they do, it’s not a bad idea to shop around in case next summer you have to retire those bright shoes that you loved so much just a short time ago. Here are a few of my recent favorites for summer. I honestly love both the save and the splurge. It would be a tough choice.
- The first set of shoes are a pair from Old Navy and it’s sister company Banana Republic so naturally there will be similarities in both of their lines. If you find a pair of shoes you love at Banana Republic chances are pretty good you’ll find something very comparable in style at Old Navy for a fraction of the price. The strap with covered heel sandals are very popular right now and I believe it’s a trend that will stick around for a bit. You can either spend more on these fantastic Banana Republic sandals or play it safe and test the trend with a white pair of Old Navy sandals for just $22.97.
- The second set of shoes are also from Old Navy and Banana Republic. The Banana Republic sandals have a lot more detail and would be fantastic for a summer event that is a little dressier give the detail on the sandals. However, if it’s the color you love and are just looking for an everyday shoe to throw on with one of your favorite outfits in this color then these shoes would definitely accommodate for a great look. You can’t beat that price. I think that turquoise is going to be a popular color for awhile but I don’t think it will be around for years to come.
- These are my favorite!! BOTH. I’ve tried them both on and although, I wouldn’t have spent the money on the J. Crew espadrilles they do look fabulous on. Cut that price in half and I’d grab them in a heartbeat. That being said, this spring Target’s Merona brand came out with these espadrilles that are SO close to the J.Crew espadrille, one would really have to know their brands to tell the difference in my opinion. I tried them on and they are surprisingly very comfortable and I would have bought them but they didn’t have the color I was looking for in my size at the time. But I’ve kept an eye out every single Target trip…..and there are many.
Do you spend or splurge on summer sandals?
